Main activities
Legal consulting and litigation in Switzerland and Germany for Swiss and German law in the following areas of law: Tax law for both natural and legal persons (also with regard to the VAT issues of Switzerland and the EU). Swiss and international commercial and corporate law as well as labor law. Inheritance law, in particular in the field of estate planning such as the optimization of inheritance tax, inheritance contracts, wills and will execution. Foundation law, establishment or merger of foundations as well as advice to the board of trustees and founders on all matters of foundation law. Family law, in particular divorce law, child rights and maintenance law. Completed a law course at the Goethe University (2004-2008) followed by a legal clerkship at the district court in Frankfurt am Main (2009-2011). After completing the first and second state examinations and working for a medium-sized law firm in Frankfurt, gained admission to the Bar in 2012. Trained as a specialist lawyer in insolvency law and tax law. Worked for a "Big Four" in Düsseldorf in the area of international tax law and employee participation plans. In 2013, changed to another "Big Four" in Zurich and was responsible for the processing of voluntary self-disclosures for German nationals and subsequent internal transfer to Swiss and international tax law-oriented department. Obtained a Bachelor of Law from the Open University (Fernuni) of Switzerland (2014-2018) and worked full-time at a medium-sized trust company in Zurich in Tax and Legal. Subsequently earned a master's degree in law at the University of Zurich (2017-2018) and practiced law in a renowned law firm in Zurich until the end of 2018. Joined EBD in early 2019.
