Main activities:
Representing and defending clients in matters relating to economic crimes, namely in crimes related to banking, stock exchange
and computers, money laundering and corruption. Advice, coordination and other services in the field of prevention, detection and
securing of evidence with regard to economic crimes. Risk management (fraud risk management) and compliance. Advising and representing
with respect to international requests for assistance, namely requests for information, extradition and confiscation, including the
related appeal proceedings.
Career:
Master of law at the University of Zurich. Over 30 years with the District and State Attorney of Zurich; from 1992 to 2008 as Leading
State Attorney of the office for economic crimes. Christian Weber is a specialist for economic criminal law and the investigation in large
and complex economic crimes, and he disposes of a valuable network to national and foreign police and state attorneys. He also was involved
in various commissions and working groups and has substantial expertise in banking and stock exchange related crimes. Christian Weber
wrote numerous papers. He lectured for many years at the University of Zurich and is lecturing at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
